Contributor
Best for: Team members who need to add files.
Contributors can upload files and manage (rename, move, delete) their own files. They cannot modify or delete files uploaded by others.
Editor
Best for: People who organize the shared files.
Editors have full file management capabilities — they can edit and delete any file in the workspace, not just their own.
Admin
Best for: Team leads or managers.
Admins have everything an editor has, plus member management: they can invite people to the workspace and remove them.
Owner
Best for: The workspace creator or primary administrator.
The owner has all admin capabilities plus control of the workspace itself (editing its details and deleting it). Every workspace has exactly one owner.
Changing Roles
Only workspace owners and admins can change a member's role. To change a role:
- Open the workspace and remove the member from the member list
- Invite them again with the new role
- Their access is updated as soon as they accept
